Family Violence Professional Development Training

The RCV rabbis and rebbetzins attended the first of a two part series presented by Jewish Care’s Marilyn Kraner and Cass Barrett addressing issues of Family Violence and the rabbi’s role.

This session provided an overview of:

• Current trends and themes in family violence

• Sector update: police, court and the Orange Door

• Working with individuals: avoiding collusion, identifying risk

• The impact of family violence on children – the latest in neurobiology

• How does Jewish Care respond – understanding the client journey for survivors and perpetrators

• Case study: What’s my role?
